A baby registry is more than a list of baby products. It’s a curated selection of products that registrants take 40 hours to build on average. But gift givers (a very different group) buy the majority of products purchased from registries. Gift givers have their own criteria for choosing items that differs greatly from registrants. Every month more than 2 million items are added to Babylist registries, and 100,000+ gift givers purchase gifts. Babylist distills this data to reveal unbiased, retailer-agnostic findings on baby registries and how expecting families (and those giving them gifts) choose baby products and how this varies by product category. Attend this session and learn more about the different criteria and considerations made when choosing products, and how brands approach pricing and marketing differently in the digital age.
